Former Big Four Director, Vicki Sofatzis joins BellchambersBarrett as Partner

We are thrilled to welcome Vicki Sofatzis to BellchambersBarrett, who will join as Partner in our Business Services division in February 2021.

A significant addition to our firm, Vicki comes from Deloitte Private, where she was Director for the last 12 years. She has worked with a rich and diverse range of clients on tax, accounting and business strategy over her 25-year-long career. She also comes with deep expertise and interest in family advisory, succession planning and wealth protection.

As Partner, Vicki will help lead the future of our Business Services division – alongside Jamie Lucas, Deborah Poulton and Sean Michelle.

Speaking about the appointment, Shane Bellchambers says that Vicki has the vision and drive to help our firm achieve its strategic goals in 2021 and beyond.

“A natural people-person with a wealth of experience, I have no doubt that Vicki will be embraced by our staff and clients alike. Taking our partnership team to eight, I am excited to see what she brings to the table as we continue our trajectory of controlled, consistent growth,” says Shane.

For Vicki, meeting the team at BellchambersBarrett couldn’t have come at a better time.

Following restructures within Deloitte three years ago, Vicki joined the Sydney Deloitte Private leadership team, while still based in Canberra. Then in 2020, with interstate travel no longer possible, Vicki began to miss the energy and synergy that comes from working in a team environment day to day.

Vicki says, “I am thrilled to be working on the ground in Canberra again and to reconnect with the local market. But more than that, I feel fortunate to be joining a firm like BellchambersBarrett.

“The firm’s values are very aligned with my own. Given that many of my new colleagues also come from Big Four firms, we have a similar mentality. We know how to roll up our sleeves and get the job done – but it can’t come at the expense of work-life balance either.

“Of course, in professional services, it’s all about the clients. But if you don’t have the right people by your side, you can’t look after clients in the way that you want to. Although I haven’t met everyone yet, I am humbled by the incredible support I have already received by the BellchambersBarrett team,” says Vicki.

Welcome to the firm, Vicki. We can’t wait for 1 February 2021 to arrive!
